1) First and most obvious tip is having a healthy and balance diet.
Eat combinations of different food, which consists of all essential nutrients in proper quantity and in proper ratio, including fruits, vegetables, Nuts and whole grains. All fruits and vegetables carry vitamins and minerals, components essential to your health. Studies show that people who eat more fruits and vegetables tend to live longer and have a lower risk for heart diseases, obesity, diabetes and other illness. Adults should eat atleast 5 portions (400g) of fruits and vegetables per day.
By eating healthy food, you will reduce your risk of malnutrition and non-communicable diseases (NCDs).
A balance diet also depends upon numerous factors like age, sex, profession and environment condition etc.
2) Minimize the intake of salt and sugar
High intake of salt and sugar in your diet, also leads to causes of various diseases like High blood pressure (High BP), diabetes, obesity, heart diseases and many more. Consuming excessive amount of sugar increases the risk of tooth decay and unhealthy weight gain.
In both adults and children, the intake of free sugars should be reduced to less than the 10% of total energy intake.
So, by reducing the consumption of salt and sugar you can make yourselves healthy and can maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Having less or no intake of Junk food is also a good step to maintain a healthy body.
You should limit your consumption of junk food like pizza, burgers, fries, soft drinks and other fast foods because these foods increases fat in your body and does not provide energy, infact it increases your stress level by making your body unhealthy.
Diseases caused by intake of junk foods are diabetes, obesity, fatty liver, increases stress, heart diseases and etc.
4) Keep your body hydrated
It is known fact that our body is made up of 70% of water so, hydration is important and overlooked marker of health. Most of us don't drink enough water every day. The amount of water we need depends on various factors, but an adult need 3 to 4 litres of water per day.
Water helps to carrying out our body functioning, removing wastes and transporting nutrients and Oxygen.
