Introduction

Stroke is very deadly condition, in which the blood vessels present in the brain rupture and bleeds, or there is a blockage in the blood supply of the brain. A stroke can cause permanent brain damage, long-term disability or even death. Combinations of yoga asanas, healthy diet, stress free life and pranayams (breathing exercise) can help you to reduce your risk level of stroke.

2) Vrikshasana: The word vrikshasana is sanskrit word come from combinations of two words, first word is Vriksha, that stands for 'Tree' and second one is Asana, which means 'Pose'. In English, the asana known as "Tree Pose". Vrikshasna is a standing pose. While doing this asana you look like graceful, steady stance of a tree. You must open your eyes, while doing this asana, in order to maintain your balance. In the procedure of this Asana, you have to stand on the one leg with other leg bent so that, the foot rests on the inside of the thigh and your hands are extended over your head palms touching.
Benefits of Vrikshasana
1) It improves your concentration level.
2) Your leg, back and arms muscles will strecth.
3) Your legs become stronger and, this posture will improve your balance and body posture.
4) Helpful in brain stroke. (Advise: Patients who suffer from brain stroke, should not raise their hand while doing this arsana, as raising hand can increase the blood pressure level (BP).
5) Helpful for the patients who all are suffering from the problem of sciatica.
Contradictions of Vrikshasana
If you have a problem of migraine, insomnia, low or high blood pressure then, you should avoid doing this asana.
(Advise: If you have the problem of brain stroke or high blood pressure, you should not raise your hand while doing this asana, as raising hand can increase your blood pressure level.)
3) Shavasana: The word 'Shavasana' is the combinations of two Sanskrit words 'Shav' means 'Corpse' and 'Asana' means 'Pose'. Mostly people do shavasana to relax their body and mind. This asana helps in repairing of tissues and cell, release stress, reduce blood pressure level, insomnia and anxiety problem. It rejuvenates the body and mind.

Contradictions of Shavasana
There is no contradiction of this asana but, if doctor has advise you, for avoid laying on your back, for any medical condition then avoid doing this asana.
4) Padmasana: In English, 'Padmasana' is known as 'Lotus Pose'. Here, the word 'Padma' stands for 'Lotus' and 'Asana' means 'Pose'. Padmasana is an important yogic posture that followed during meditation. Padmasana also helps in your stress problem. It helps in the functioning of your digestive organs and also, increases the blood flow in the pelvis region and legs.

1) It improve your digestion.
2) It relax your mind and body by decreasing the stress level.
3) It increases your ankle and knee strength.
4) It helps in improving your Posture.
5) It helps women by reducing their menstrual discomfort.
Contradictions of Padmasana
If you have any knee or ankle injury or any other kind of leg injury, avoid doing this asana.
